An interim planning guidance note have been adopted for the area. The guidance outlines the aspirations for the area as a mixed use scheme of retail and leisure uses.

Present aspirations for this 0.48 hectare site include mixed use retail space and the creation of leisure facilities to take advantage of the increased footfall from the new Mansfield Transport Interchange. This project will be led by the private sector.
