It is the intention of the district council as the main land owner of the site to develop the area to provide an extension to Mansfield’s retail core and providing a range of retail units for both national chains and local stores. 

As well as this the new development will create an attractive gateway into the centre of Mansfield with new secure car parking and attractive public squares and pedestrian streets.
