This major new road and the only major transport scheme proposed under the former Local Transport Plan.

Running to the South and West of Mansfield and 15.3 Kilometres in length it will form the backbone of new east-west communications, connecting Mansfield to the A1 and Newark in the East, across the heart of the former coalfield to the M1 in the West, opening up new, quality, employment sites which could not be optimised due to lack of access to a coherent, modern infrastructure.
