With the support of emda, Mansfield District Council has commissioned a study to explore the issues and concerns of residents / businesses within this area in order to develop a vision and intervention plan which will help the area, its people and businesses realise their  full potential

 

On the 28th March 2008 an invitation to tender went out for the consultancy of this project. BDP were chosen as the consultants for this project.

On the 25.06.2008, Mansfield District Council held baseline stakeholder events at the Victoria Street Salvation Army and at West Titchfield Matters. At these meetings disussions took place on some of the issues and concerns facing businesses and residents in the area.

On the 25th July, BDP hosted a second consultation workshop following a period of public consultation on development options for Portland Gateway. This exhibition took place between the 21.07.08 and the 25.07.08 at the Salvation Army on Victoria Street. The presentation given at this stakeholder event, along with the feedback paper, which inlcudes the three proposed options, can be requested via the email address at the bottom of the page.

Information received throughout this consultation period and event will help inform a preferred option and individual site briefs which will be available for consultation at the beginning of October 2008.
